What is Rubber Gate Seal
The gate rubber seal is also called the P-type rubber water stop. The gate water seal is an important part of the hydropower project gate and is a key component to ensure the gate is sealed and normally operated. The gate rubber seal material can be selected according to specific conditions such as the water head height and the orifice size. The most commonly used is the rubber gate water seal.

1 The rubber gate seal should not be exposed to the sun for a long time, prevent rain, and avoid contact with highly polluting chemicals.
2 During transportation and construction, prevent machinery and steel bars from damaging the waterstop.
3 During the construction process, the rubber gate seal must be reliably fixed to avoid displacement during concrete pouring and ensure the correct position of the waterstop in the concrete.
4 The methods for fixing the waterstop are: fixing with additional steel bars; fixing with special clamps; fixing with lead wire and templates, etc. If perforation is required, it can only be selected in the edge installation area of the waterstop, and other parts must not be damaged.
5 When placing an order, the user should calculate the product length according to the engineering structure and design drawings. The special-shaped structure should have a drawing description. Try to connect the waterstop into a whole in the factory. If it is necessary to connect on site, you can use the method of vulcanization bonding with an electric heating plate or cold bonding (rubber waterstop) or welding (plastic waterstop).
Features of Rubber Waterstop
The rubber gate seal is made of natural rubber or various synthetic rubber as the main raw materials, mixed with a variety of additives and fillers, and is made through processes such as plasticization, mixing, calendering and vulcanization.
The water stop material has good elasticity, wear resistance, aging resistance and tear resistance, strong deformation adaptability and good waterproof performance, and the temperature range of use is -45℃-+60℃.

Rubber gate seal is mainly used in foundation projects where it is installed in construction joints and deformation joints when concrete is cast in place and becomes one with the concrete structure, such as underground facilities, tunnels, culverts, water transfer aqueducts, dams, liquid storage structures, etc.
