What Is Hydrophilic Waterstop
Rubber water stop strips are made of a material that has both the characteristics of rubber products and the function of self-expansion to stop water when in contact with water.
They are widely used in civil air defense, subways, tunnels, sewage treatment projects, swimming pools, and other construction joints, expansion joints, and cracks in other concrete projects.

1. Before pouring the next section of concrete, water stop strips should be installed on the interface of the longitudinal (horizontal) or transverse (circumferential) construction joints that have appeared.
2. How to fix the water stop strip on the headboard should be determined according to the construction method and equipment capacity of the frame. It can be fixed with nails, bolts or wires. In short, the construction personnel can give full play to their imagination to achieve the purpose of convenient, fast and material-saving reserved grooves.
3. For the construction joints where the water stop strips need to be pasted and fixed, the interface of the post-casting joints should be kept dry and flat, and the scum, dust and debris on the interface should be removed before construction.
4. After the installation position of the rubber water stop strip is determined, a thin layer of adhesive is applied on the interface where the water stop strip is to be installed and on the bottom surface of the water stop strip. After the adhesive evaporates for a period of time, it can be pasted, or the water stop strip can be fixed to the installation position with high-strength anchor nails.
5. If the concrete interface is wet or uneven, and the adhesive is not firmly pasted, high-strength anchor nails can be used to further strengthen the fixation according to the specific situation. In short, the waterstop must be in close contact with the concrete interface and firmly fixed. If the waterproof waterstop is separated from the interface, it will lose its anti-seepage function.
