What Is Rubber Pad Blocks
Rubber pads are a common rubber bearing product made of multiple layers of rubber sheets bonded by vulcanization.
This product has sufficient vertical rigidity and can reliably transmit the reaction force of the upper structure of the bearing to the pier.
Rubber pads have good elasticity and are low in price, and are widely used in various fields.

Types of Rubber Pad Blocks
The rubber pad has sufficient vertical stiffness to reliably transmit the reaction force of the upper structure of the support to the pier. The support has good elasticity to cope with the rotation of the beam end of the bridge; it also has a large shear deformation capacity to meet the horizontal displacement of the upper structure.
The anti-collision block is made of rubber, which is wear-resistant and elastic, and can protect the corners, walls and cars from damage. (1) Before installing the pad, the installation position of the bearing should be measured and inspected. The bearing installation plane should be parallel to the sliding plane or rolling plane of the bearing, and the deviation of parallelism should not exceed 2‰.
(2) Before installing the pad, the relative position of the top and bottom plates of the movable bearing should be checked.
(3) After the pad is installed, the rolling and sliding planes should be horizontal, and the slope with the theoretical plane should not exceed 2‰. The center of the upper and lower plates of the bearing should be centered, and the deviation should not exceed 2‰.
(4) To ensure the flatness of the pad installation, a 20~50mm thick dry hard non-shrinkage mortar cushion layer should generally be built between the bottom surface of the bearing and the top surface of the bearing pad stone.
