What is Transflex Expansion Joint
Rubber expansion joints have a framework, bolted assembly segments, each 1m (other sizes can be made),and the junction with the deed mouth-groove. Internal stiffening plate to make such joint can withstand the load of various vehicles, with some vertical stiffness. Since rubber incompressibility, rubber plate specially shaped groove prevents telescopic joints swell up when compressed.

Maintenance Procedures should follow five situations
The bearing capacity of bridge rubber bearings depends on the following three situations:
(1) Chisel off the pavement concrete within a range of about 40cm on both sides of the expansion joint, clean it up, and adjust the original embedded bolt anchor bars and exposed bridge deck steel bars;
(2) The embedded bolts must be positioned correctly and firmly;
(3) If it is a newly installed rubber expansion joint, the anchor bars should be pre-buried. The anchor bars must be firmly buried and welded directly to the bridge deck steel bars as much as possible. Epoxy resin slurry should be poured into the hole to make it firm and not easy to pull out;
(4) Pour the pavement concrete according to the original method. In order to maintain traffic, it can be divided into half of the bridge deck, and cross-joint facilities can also be installed on the expansion joint.
(5) Install the rubber bridge expansion joint to make the rubber plate firm and flat;

Installation Instructions

• Hacking and Cleaning by Air Blower and Hot Air Burner

• Applying Leveling Screed to achieve an uniform lever between a joint system and premix
• Drilling Bolt Holes for Stud Installation
